Dissonance vs Harmony in Philosophy, Art and Science.

Is the world based on harmony or is it in a state of dissonance? Poised on a critical edge between what is observed and what is about to happen, systems – all life, in fact – are constantly on the verge of change that is the tension between order and disorder. Is harmony the answer, or is the search for harmony itself the cause of dissonance?
